And a bit of exposure and color tweaking. Most i do is straighten horizon, and remove debis from the photo. Then i decide what files i keep as in camera jpg or if they need some photoshop (elements) or lightroom (old version)įor the ones that need some work i go to the cr2's and go from there. (note this is one step further)įrom the yes/keep folder i then select the 10 photos to put on the site, or 3 for the thursday photo. picute viewer will automaticall display the next photo. In thew right window, then drag and drop the photo to the yes or no folder that are displyed just above it. scale it so it occupies the left of the screen. Then open the first foto in wndows picture viewer. Then i open the exporer, reduce the window size so it displays 1 vertical row of files. I move the cr2 files to the cr2 folder (dosbox move *.cr2 cr2) Do the first 4 steps of Mark s workflow.įor small projects (like the flowers from the garden) i leave the cr2 and jpg in the same folder.įor the bigger projects i create subfolders. Witht the old codec i was using with the 5d2 there was a slight difference between the display of jpg and cr2 files. Now the cr2 and jpg look exactely the same.

Windows is displaying the cr2 files again.
LIGHTROOM 6.2 NOT RECOGNIZING RAW TRIAL
I just installed the 15 day free trial version of FastPictureViewer Codec Pack. CR2 and know the RAW (.CR2) is that image. When I want to look at my images through Windows I just look at the finished edited folder and don't have to sort through images that did not make the cut.Īnother option if you refuse to use Lightroom or DPP is to shoot in both RAW and JPEG, and while you can not see the RAW thumbnail, you can see the JPG thumbnail right next to the. From Lightroom I then Export sending the edited photo as a JPG to the finished images folder I named after the shoot with the date.from in Lightroom I can choose to send a photo to Photoshop for heavier editing if needed, in Photoshop if I hit save it sends the edited file back to Lightroom and it will show up as an xxxxxx-Edit.tif file next to the original CR2 image.By checking this box, you will ensure that Lightroom imports both files AND shows you both RAW and JPEG files in Lightroom. In Lightroom CC I go to the Develop Tab and start post editing To choose this option go to the general Lightroom preferences menu and make sure the box labeled treat JPEG files next to RAW files as separate photos is checked. At this point (while in the search for folder window) I may rename the folder keeping the date, but maybe adding where the photos were taken, this helps months later.Start Lightroom CC, import images, Source Other, find the folder of images just downloaded. When all images have downloaded I unplug the camera.turn on the camera, the EOS Utility 3 runs.plug the Camera into the computer via the USB 3 cable.
LIGHTROOM 6.2 NOT RECOGNIZING RAW WINDOWS 10
I use Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 on different computers. Occasionally I may use Digital Photo Professional, but Lightroom is my go to post editing software. But I don't know that for sure.I have not found a way but don't really care as I use Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic CC when doing anything with RAW. The only User Preset that will show up if you don't have this selected is Adobe Standard.which leads me to believe that the Basic Color profile which is auto selected for the MA2 DNG files = the Adobe Standard Raw Profile. click the three dots in the upper right while you're in the Presets tab). Make sure you have "Show Partially Compatible Presets" selected under the Presets settings menu (i.e. Now I can open/edit my MA2 DNG files in LR, choose one of my User Presets, and the Profile changes from Adobe Color to the Adobe Raw Profile associated with my Preset. I only checked the Profile check box when creating my presets, b/c this is the only thing I want to happen. You need to create the User Presets from the Edit tab using a DNG file which auto populates the Adobe Raw Profile options - for me this is any DNG taken with my iPhone 11 Pro. Solution: I created User Presets for each Adobe Raw Profile.
LIGHTROOM 6.2 NOT RECOGNIZING RAW PRO
The iPhone 11 Pro is on Adobe's list of cameras so that makes sense.

Profile options, but the Adobe Raw Profiles are not available like they are when I import a DNG file into LR taken on my iPhone 11 Pro. The only options I have are Color or Monochrome under the Basic Profile drop down. Adobe Neutral, Adobe Color, Adobe Standard, Adobe Vivid, etc.) when imported.

I'm using Lightroom (LR) on my iPad and have the same issue - my Mavic Air 2 (MA2) DNG files do not trigger the Adobe Raw Profile options (e.g.
